WHAT IS CRYOLIFT?

Cryotherapy is broadly defined as 'cold thermal shock therapy' and used on targeted areas of the skin and tissue for therapeutic improvements. This application has a very long history of use in healing and has been greatly developed over the last few years as a result of modern technology.

Cryoplasty is a treatment process designed to deliver a stabilised cold temperature of-15° to the skin to help improve the general tone, texture and overall appearance of the facial skin and neck area.

Cryolift comprises a course of six treatments and includes the following therapies:

Glycolic acid peel
Application of specialist skin products
Cryoplasty treatment

The specialist skin products are used in conjunction with the Cryoplasty treatment and further enhance the final results of the treatment. These products usually include glycolic acid, Vitamin C and a special cellular poly-revitalisation formula (NCTF 135^®) which contains a range of vitamins, coenzymes, acids (including hyaluronic and amino acids) and minerals. Your practitioner will discuss which products are most suitable for your skin type.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Following the preparation of your skin with the peel and product treatments, the Cryolift machine is used to deliver a controlled amount of cold thermal energy to the skin, uniformly cooling it and the underlying tissue. The cooling promotes skin analgesia, dermocryphoreses and skin oxygenation, which radically acts on marked and fatigued skins to help regain firmness, tone and radiance.

WHAT WILL MY SKIN FEEL LIKE AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Immediately following a Cryolift procedure your skin should feel tighter, smoother and look more radiant.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WELL I NEED

In order to achieve optimum results a course of six treatments is usually recommended. Your practitioner will determine the course of treatment that is right for you.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Post treatment problems are uncommon, but the following side effects may occur and are not limited to:

Swelling
Redness
Burns/blisters/scabbing
Hyper or hypo pigmentation changes
Allergic reaction
Mild/moderate discomfort (during treatment)
Itching
In the unlikely event of an adverse reaction occurring permanent scarring may occur.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN RETURN TO MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES?

Most people can return to their regular activities immediately following Cryolift treatment. Please follow the post treatment instruction sheet for further information.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROCEDURE COST?

This depends upon the facial areas to be treated and will be confirmed for you at consultation with your practitioner.
